Ahh... The glorious power of the next gen consoles.

Looks amazing doesn't it?

To imagine only a few years ago we were still playing Tetris

Sledge Hammer is working on this next Call of Duty for this year with the next gen console as the basis.

Let's hope they take some time to polish the game and not release it too soon.

Are you going to buy the next CoD game?

Leave answers and comments down below!

Thanks for reading! :D

LOL. That is so unlike them. They will push it out, then another one 6-8 months later. :P

Good work on the news though P34nut.

Its looking really good! For a Call Of Duty! Cods not known for graphics so I'd say its not half bad! Still a little... off, bit still good none-the-less.

But it still has a way to go before it reaches Crysis level....

Still hasn't reach Infamous level, makes me sad indeed.

Still, story > gameplay > graphics

Infamous has a long way to go before it reaches Super Mario quality.  In terms of graphics, lighting and shaders, Cryengine simply cannot be beat.  With CoD, I could care less how efficient or polished the console version ends up being.  That image is likely a dev system render anyway...meaning PC.  PC is all I care about, and quite frankly, the PC platform has no worries in the render or computing category for the title.

In any case, while the model render looks good, it's still just that, and I'm more looking forward to the actual game itself. I'd love to play it, but considering it's probably gonna be a 8th-Gen console game only (excluding PC), it may take some time before I start racking up the-everything in CoD.

Never gets old.

Man, these don't even look like video games anymore. They're starting to look like reality! D:

It's only a matter of time before virtual reality is created... oh wait, there's Oculus! It's becoming tougher and tougher to differentiate between what is real and what is not!!

Yes,

That's all I have to say to this.

The next gen consoles are putting out some pretty impressive stuff, imagine in a few years....

But on a separate note, take a look at how far technology has come as a whole! Call of duty is finally beginning to look next gen, and games in general are starting to look more hyper-realistic! It won't be to long before we won't be able to tell whats real anymore... I mean take a look at this completely CGI rendered image or Actor Robert DeNiro...

I Look at the image.

I Realize it's not going to be WW2 or any past war that actually occurred, and just Modern Military FPS 7

I Understand that my hopes are dashed and stop caring about COD for another year.

I throw my hands up and walk out of the room... but I will admit I am appreciating these Gen 8 graphics.

Of course the image they release will look graphically on par with what next gen graphics should look like but when we play the game I bet you the graphical detail will downgrade a little. Not that it matters because at the end of the day it's about the content and the quality of the game, Call of Duty is still yet to show that. Well, that may be my biased opinion but as an example, has anyone played COD Ghosts and said, "This game is amazing and it's so much fun to play"? Be honest. Well, if you're messing around with friends it's completely understandable but not so much when you play on your own but even with friends the game can be hard to enjoy. COD Ghosts was over hyped and was overall terrible. Regardless of those good bits and pieces, the game was a failure.

I have yet to play a Next Gen game that has great re-playability and by that I mean a game that I can put hours upon hours into and actually enjoy it. Not that I haven't been satisfied by some of the Next Gen games that I've played, Assassins Creed I thought was really good, but for me personally it doesn't leave you wanting to keep playing, unless you really love the multiplayer and like to 100% complete the game. I may be going off track a little but as I said I haven't been overly impressed with Next Gen regarding having a game I can put many hours into, much like Skyrim. Another example, Killzone when it came out I though was very impressive, it really showed off what the PS4 could do, once I finished the game I didn't see much point going back to it. This has been my attitude to these Next Gen games so far, I'm actually starting to worry.

I feel Destiny will be the game that will define a real video game this year that's ticks all the boxes regarding the Story, Graphics, Customization, I could go on but more importantly Re-playability. I really think Call of Duty should just make a COD Online. Who really cares about the Story to COD anymore? Most people pretty much get the jest of it and it's getting boring. Or at least it's entertaining for a little while and then it's just there to play when you're bored. If Infinity Ward and Treyarch focuses more on creating a multiplayer experience that actually works, maybe then the series can go back on track to being good but then, how can they do that if they keep making the same thing over and over again. Now that Next Gen is out, I hope they can really surprise us this year because honestly, I'm getting sick of hearing about another Call of Duty release. I don't care about Call of Duty, so don't think it bothers me but I felt I needed to rant a bit about the this some what new COD game. Of course this is my personal opinion so by all means point out something you don't agree with.

I'm also typing this at almost 3:00am, so I hope it makes some sense, haha.

Nice post by the way!
